The NGS Inspection System & Training :
To assure an "apples to apples" bidding process there are 3 important elements to consider:
The first is a specification document outlining details such as time, preparation and site logistics, past performance experience of contractor and skilled workers.
The second is a detailed survey indicating all areas in need of repair ( consider it a diagnostic assessment of your building's wood elements similar to a automobile diagnostic ). This survey creates the "scope of work" and eliminates the ambiguous repair as required often found in construction documents.
The third is an on-site quality control to assure materials and workmanship are executed according the specification documents.
First developed for Stanford University, John Stahl was hired to survey and catalog the existing conditions of over 1300 windows and doors at Stanford University's historic Main Quad in 2001.
With years of refinement and experience in working with older buildings John developed the NGS Inspection System. This system is implemented by trained and licensed individuals.
